Today, I wasn't really in the mood to ride, even though Gabe has yesterday off & it was 50 degrees out. So I trudged out to the field & brought the boy in. In the interim I grabbed my phone & saw Dr. S called. She explained to me some thing to me that I forgot to write down when we were there on Dec. 22. I wasn't feeling well that day. Gabe's liver enzymes will go this time of year do to his body trying to stay warm & gain weight, it's not used to feeling well. Also, this is probably the anniversary of his sickness & it comes full circle. He should stay on the Red Call till at least summer and Quiessence for a long time. I need to look into the ABC products. I told her how well his coat & body looked, she was super pleased. She was glad he is doing OK on the alfalfa & I can increase that whenever I want.
Ride: Today's ride, just like the last two weeks have been trying to get him to get a "pretty neck" long & low..we'll today we achieved that in about 15 mins. He was a SUPER star!!! Plus, he didn't worry about the other horses out in the field!! Double WIN!
